The family of Robert "Bob" Cavenaugh has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral service of their Hero, we will be honored to do so.

Bob Cavenaugh enlisted in the US Army on  February 1, 1983 and proudly served until his honorable discharge April 30, 1986 at the rank of SP4.

Immediately after his military service, Bob went to work for the federal government and continued working there until his passing, for 31 years, in weapons development at China Lake.  The Ride Captain for this mission, Greg Vincent, worked with him for a time over the years.

In his spare time Bob loved all things outdoors, fishing, both deep sea and freshwater, camping, hiking, sailing.  He also loved shooting and was quite the marksman, he taught all 3 of his daughters to shoot.

Bob is survived by his 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren, his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
