The family of California Highway Patrol Officer Alexander C. Guerra has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for his funeral services and accompany him to his final resting place, we would be honored to do so.

Officer Alexander "Alex" Guerra was 28 years old and was serving his community as a California Highway Patrolman at the time of his passing on August 30, 2019.  Alex is from a very community minded and dedicated family.  His father is a retired San Diego Police Dept Officer.  His brother is an officer with the Customs and Border Patrol Office. Even Alex's best friend is a San Diego City Firefighter.

Alex had been with the CHP since March, but just prior to that he had served over 6 years with the US Marine Corps. He served in Intel with the Corps, and served a tour in Afghanistan for 9 months.  He was honorably discharged prior to his continued service to his fellow citizens through law enforcement.

Alex was the kind of young man that was loved by everyone, he always had a smile for everyone.  He loved hanging out with his family, friends, and his beloved dog.  His favorite color was black, his dog was black, most of time you would see him dressed in black, and his dream car, his Jeep Rubicon, was black.  In his spare time he loved going to the ocean and taking his dog to play in the sand or go boating.

Alex was the youngest of 5 siblings and is survived by his mother and father and 4 siblings and many extended family members. He will never be forgotten by the many people who knew and loved him.
