The family of Roger Dale Floyd have asked the Patriot Guard to help honor their father and hero as he is laid to rest on 15 June at Riverside National Cemetery.  It is our honor to be there.

Mr. Floyd enlisted in the Air Force in 1959 and served until 1963, achieving the rank of Airman 2nd Class. The family believes he was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas, as he was never deployed overseas.  After his service, Mr. Floyd had his own business and was a Civilian Contractor to the Military.

Mr. Floyd is preceeded by his wife, Susan and survived by his children Kim, Bryan, Byron, Steve and Mike, along with eight grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, please see the timetable if you would like to participate.

951-505-6362

We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep the radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
