The family of Ruben Berjeda, III, 55, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their hero from the church to his final resting place. We are privileged to fulfill their request.
Ruben was a resident of Paso Robles, CA and passed away in a tragic accident on 19 June 2025
Ruben proudly served following the footsteps of his father and brother, enlisting in the US Army in 1990. He deployed during Desert Storm serving as an attendant in Germany. He also served with the Army National Guard 20 July 1999 to 20 July 2008. He was stationed at multiple locations throughout his military career.
After returning home, he worked in the field of telecommunications including Prince Communications and eventually Spectrum. Later in life he continued his public service with Atascadero State Hospital.
Ruben was an avid fan of boxing and Raider’s football. He cherished his annual fishing trips with his lifelong friends. He loved attending comedy shows with his wife and was always in front of the grill barbecuing on the weekends. Ruben had a special place in his heart for animals, treating them like family.
Ruben is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, daughters Jade and Miranda, and his fur babies, Dallas and Daisy. He also leaves behind his siblings, Rosie, Athie, Arthur and Mary.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the cemetery, approximately 8 miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.

(805) 459-8213You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
