The Non-profit organization "Homes For Troops" has once again invited the PGR to accompany two Wounded Warriors to their new homes in the El Cajon, CA area.   These homes have been built at no cost to the Heroes and constructed in order to make them access friendly for their needs.

This is a real honor as the PGR will be able to privately meet both Wounded Warriors prior to their accompaniment and then in full fanfare bring them to their newly constructed homes.

On 23 FEB 13 we accompanied Cpl Greene and SGT Ayala to the ground breaking ceremony when this project began, and now we are invited to not only bring them to their new homes, but after the ceremony, we have been invited to enter and see these custom homes and the outstanding modifications made for each individuals needs.  What an honor!

There will be quite a few dignitaries and a tea ceremony at the site.  Lets have a good turnout for these Heroes and their families, this will be our opportunity to thank them for their service and their sacrifices.

Marine Corporal Travis Greene was on his third deployment when he lost both of his legs in an IED blast in Ramadi, Iraq on December 7, 2005, the 64th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Spending fifty-three days in the ICU, Travis endured multiple surgeries and complications. Transferred to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he spent eight months in treatments and therapies before being sent to Balboa Naval Medical Center bringing his total time spent hospitalized to more than one year and eight months.

Army Sergeant Odin Ayala was on his third deployment when he lost both of his legs in an IED blast in Kandahar, Afghanistan on September 14, 2011. He awoke four days after the blast and remained for nearly seven weeks at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX,  before being transferred to Balboa Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.
