The family of Sgt. Arturo Espinoza, Jr., has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service. It will be our privilege to do so.

Arturo Espinoza, Jr., 39, served his country in the United States Marine Corps for seven years and attained the rank of Sergeant E-5. His served in Iraq during “Operation Iraqi Freedom.” He several medals and awards: Army Commendation Medal (W/Combat "B"), Combat Action Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (W/ #1 Star), Selected Marine Corps Medal, Armed Forced Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Commendation, Letter of Appreciation, and 0311-Rifleman.

After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2007, Arturo was involved in many employment endeavors.  These jobs included personal security detail; co-owner of a restaurant as head chef; a government contractor for Apex Skills Group; as well as a government contractor for O'Gara Homeland Defense Solutions, Inc.

Arturo was super busy in his short time here on earth! To add to his professional life, he had many interests that included golfing, gunsmithing, motorcycle riding, music, archery, rock climbing, skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, (literally anything with a board), rollerblading, and competitive cycling.  He was a great dad and loved his family vacations to Disneyland. There was literally NOTHING this man didn’t do!

He is survived by his wife, Linda, who will be riding her motorcycle in our procession.  He is also survived by his two children, son, Art II, and daughter, Ava; his mother, Maria (Alonzo), and step-mother, Silvia; as well as stepsisters Elizabeth, Christina, and Lynette.
