The family of Captain Paul Wheeler (RET) Captain of the Ridgecrest Police Department invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their loved ones funeral services.  We are honored to accept this invitation.

Paul Wheeler, was born April 22, 1954 in Trona, CA and graduated High School in Ridgecrest at Burroughs High School class of 72.
After graduating High School, he worked as a local Concrete Contractor for 20 years and at the age of 40 decided he wanted to serve the community he so dearly loved.  Therefore, he attended the Riverside Police Academy in Riverside, California.

He graduated from the Academy on December 22, 1993 Class #124 and returned to Ridgecrest starting his career as a Police Officer.
Paul retired from the Ridgecrest Police Department after 20 years of service at the age of 60.  He was said to be a wonderful mentor to his Junior Officers and would do anything for anyone.

In his spare time and after retirement he enjoyed deep-sea fishing off the coast of San Diego and was a member of the Trident Society.  He also enjoyed spending time with his wonderful family.

Paul passed away due to medical issues at the age of 66. He is survived by his loving wife Kindi Wheeler and daughter Casey Wheeler and Step Children Robin, Ken and Willie Dunlap and 6 Grand Children Jacob, James, Garret, Shelby, Jaycie and Brooklynn.
