The family of MSgt Michael G. Glauner has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his many years service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

MSgt Michael George Glauner proudly served 24 years in the United States Marine Corps, time which included tours in South West Africa, Somalia, Kosovo and two combat tours in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Michael, who resided in Menifee, was also an avid motorcycle rider and was proud that he had put 100,000 miles on his Harley Davidson.

This Marine was a true Warrior and Patriot.  He is survived by his spouse and two young sons.

Michael's death was combat related in that he passed from a rare form of cancer he felt was caused by his exposure to depleted uranium while serving in Kosovo.

There will be an 1130 service at the chapel on MCAS Miramar.  Immediately following there will be a procession to Miramar National Cemetery (approx. 4 miles) for a 1330 shelter service with Honors.

Note: There will be tags for this Mission.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the chapel services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
