The family of Jose Hernandez, 67, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his service and military honors, we would be honored to do so.

Jose honorably served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He served from 1968 to 1972 and had achieved the rank of SP5 at the time of his discharge. Following his service Jose went to work for the Fontana Unified School District as a lead driver. He delivered prepared food to 32 schools. Jose enjoyed wood working and cars which kept his mind busy.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and the memories that he made will forever be cherished.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, 3 sons and 3 grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.

Please post your condolences for the family at the following link:
