The family of GySgt David Kaufer, 41, has invited the PGR to participate in honoring this hero for his many years of service and sacrifice for his country. We are privileged to do so.

Gunny Kaufer retired from the United States Marine Corps in May after 22+ years of service. His years of services was from Nov 12, 1992 - May 31, 2015. He served 2 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He was attending the Art Institute of California for Culinary with a goal of opening his own BBQ restaurant. An avid motorcyclist, David was on his bike coming home from school when a wrong way driver hit him head-on.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, 3 sons, two brothers and two sisters.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, please see the time table below.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
