We have been invited by the family of Sgt. Edwin L. Betts (95) to participate in honoring this WWII hero. We are honored to do so.
Mr. Betts served with the Army Air Corp. in the African and European theaters rising to the rank of Sgt. He earned several commendations, including the American Campaign Medal, the European/African campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, Oak Leaf Cluster and numerous others.
After the war, he worked building bombers at Lockheed for several years. Later he became a housing builder in the Inland Empire, building "hundreds of thousands of homes".
He is survived by his two sons, Stan and Larry, and a daughter, Diane Williams. His son (Stan) is a Vietnam Vet and has participated in PGR missions.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
