The family of Edward Lopez has invited the Patriot Guard to pay Honors to this American Hero. It would be our honor to do so.

Edward was born on April 17, 1949. He passed into Eternal Glory to be with his parents Armando and Herlinda on Oct. 12, 2015 at the age of 66 yrs. young.

Edward graduated High School and at that time decided to join the United States Army.

Edward served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He joined the Army in June 14th 1968, and served 3 yrs. getting his Honorable Discharge on March 24th 1971 at the rank of SP4. During his time he did a tour in Vietnam with the 4th Army infantry division. He later came back to Fort Hood for discharge.

In Edwards civilian life he worked for GE in their warehouse as a supervisor. Edward was a very firm believer in family support. He always worked extra jobs when needed, to make sure his family was well taken care of.
During Christmas season Edward worked the same Christmas tree lot for 15 yrs. as a side job.

Edward loved baseball, he was a devout Cubbies fan, and loved football. Edward also played baseball in his younger days and played on the All Stars from his community.

Rey leaves behind his 3 children:,Edward Douglas Lopez, Sara Lopez ,Olivia Lopez/Vasquez .
3 Grandchildren  Justin, Kyan, Mia  brother: Rey, Sisters: Herlinda Silva, Elizabeth

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

"Standing for those who stood for us"

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
