The family of Ignacio Munoz has requested the honor of the Patriot Guard at the service of Ignacio Munoz WWII Hero from the United States Army.
 
He is also the Father of one of our own PGR members. It would be our Honor to do so.
 
Ignacio was born in 1921 in Tempe, Arizona. Ignacio moved with his parents from Tempe, Ariz. to Corona, Calif. where he resided all thru his school years.

After finishing school Ignacio wanted to serve his Country and decided to join the Army. He joined in May of 1942 and served until his Honorable discharge in December of 1944.
 
During his time in service PFC Munoz was awarded the Purple Heart for being wounded in the battle of the Aleutian Islands during the Japanese invasion.
 
Upon completion of his time in the Army, Ignacio decided to settle down and met a young lady by the name of Margaret who later became his wife. Margaret Montana Munoz and Ignacio settled down in the quiet community of San Bernardino.
 
For 30 yrs. Ignacio was a pipe fitter and welder. Ignacio loved to go deer hunting and when he retired, Ignacio and Margaret traveled all over between the United States and Europe. Ignacio was preceded in death by his lovely wife Margaret.
 
Ignacio is survived by his daughters and sons: Margaret Alvarado, Johnnie Ybarra, Robbie Munoz (Kristi) and Christopher Munoz.
 
He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great, Great Grandchildren, and brothers Frank, Manuel, and many Nieces, and Nephews.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
