!!! STAND DOWN - AT REQUEST OF THE FAMILY - MISSION WILL BE POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE EST OCTOBER !!!

The Family of TSgt Konrad Edward Blackburn, 69, USAF(Ret), has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the Service and Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.
 
Konrad was born 05 June 1951 and went to Paradise 04 July 2020.
 
Konrad served in the USAF from April 1975 to September 1991and retired as a TSgt.  His primary Specialty was Fire Protection Supervisor. Konrad received the USAF Commendation Medal 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Training Ribbon, USAF Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, USAF Longevity Service Award Ribbon with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, USAF Overseas Ribbon-Long with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, USAF Overseas Ribbon-Short with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, USAF Outstanding Unit Award, USAF Good Conduct Medal with 1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster. Konrad served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm August 1990 to September 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Jacklyn, eight sisters, Courtney, Jerina, Mary, Donna, Denise, Cynthia, Imogene, and Bernadette, seven children Phillip, Jason, Kirk, Carmen, Marc, Gerard, and Trevor, and three grandchildren Indiana, Tallulah and Jensen.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
 
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
