The family of William Edward Lantz has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of a Veteran from “Our Greatest Generation”, a World War II Hero, as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.
Bill was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on 06 March 1928 and entered into Eternal Rest on 26 December 2018 in Yucaipa.
Bill lived in Redlands for twenty-eight years and Beaumont for the past twelve years.
Bill was in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947 where he received WWII Victory Medal. Bill was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class.
Bill earned his Masters of Science Degree from Oregon State University, Corvallis and Indiana State Teachers College in 1952. Bill was a teacher for thirty years retiring from the San Bernardino City School District.
Bill was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Redlands, the Calico Quails Square Dance Club and the Elks Lodge of Eugene, Oregon.
Bill is survived by Alice, his wife of sixty-eight years, his daughter Theresa and sons William Jr. and Gregory. He also leaves six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren. Bill is predeceased by his son Randall and sisters Viola and Leila.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
