The family of William “Bill” Marvin Watson Jr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to be present to honor their Hero for his service to our Country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Bill was born in Lodi on 22 July 1947 and entered into Eternal Rest on 11 February 2020.

Bill proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from October 1966 to August 1972. Bill served in Vietnam as a radio operator. His MOS was Field Music Bugler/Musical Entertainer. Bill was the recipient of the Purple Heart while in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.

Bill passed away from Parkinson’s Disease as a result of exposure to Agent Orange.

After leaving the Corps, Bill went to work for the U.S. Postal Service and would retire from there after 36 years. He was a letter carrier and a customer service clerk.

Bill loved the outdoors, he loved camping, hiking and traveling. In his younger years, he loved to surf.

Bill is survived by his wife Risa Contreras. Bill was the oldest of five siblings and is survived by his four sisters, Sharyn, Patricia, Barbara Jean, and Nancy. He also leaves behind three children and four grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
