The family of Private First Class Robert Allan Himli have graciously requested the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the services of this hero, and it will be our honor to do so..

Robert joined the United States Army August 16, 1968 and discharged on July 20, 1971. During that time Robert did one tour in Vietnam. He discharged with an honorable discharge at the rank of Private 1st. class.

During his time in the service he was a man that could always be counted on, and had great admiration by his brothers he served with.

During Robert's time in service he earned the following 6 medals and ribbons:  Good conduct medal,  purple heart, Vietnam campaign medal with 2 OS bars, national defense medal, Vietnam service medal, and M-16 sharpshooter medal.

When Robert got back into civilian life he worked in the printing industry, he was the operator of a printing press for 25 yrs. When it became hard on his hands to print he decided it was time to change careers.

Robert got into truck driving and managed to do that for 10 yrs, being both a driver and a trainer for the younger guys coming up.

In his spare time Robert loved to go hunting and fishing. He said there was never enough time in the day to do all the hunting and fishing there was to do.  When he wasn't hunting or fishing he decided to take up golf to relax his mind.

Robert is survived by his wife: Kathleen Himli, and his 4 children: Heather Schenian, Chris Schenian, John & Jim Scholten.

His 9 grandchildren: Corey, Samantha, Brandon, Justin, Vivian, Sydney, Carter, Cole, Maverick

3 Great Grand Children: Jaden, Hector, Janalie

This will be a dignified transfer of Cremains of Robert.  Roberts wife: Kathleen and his daughter Heather will be transporting to RNC.
