The family of Jose Godinez, 67, SGT USMC Veteran, has invited the PGR to be present and honor their loved one for service to his country. It would be an honor and privilege to do so.
 
Jose served in Vietnam in the infantry. Jose served in the Marine Corp from 3/24/1964 to 3/22/68. He was a sergeant at his time of discharge. Jose received the National Service Medal with one star, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation.
 
Jose worked 35 years as a steel worker and coached little league baseball for over 20 years in La Puente Park.
 
Jose is survived by a brother (Vietnam Vet Army), a son, Jojo Godinez, daughters Pat Barron, Priscilla Lopez and Evelyn Barron, 24 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren.
 
This is a very heavily military family with active duty relatives flying in for this service from all branches.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the Chapel services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
