The family of Charles 'Allen' Simmons have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany this Hero from the San Diego Southwest Yacht Club, where he was a member, to Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, and be present for his military honors. We will be honored to do so.

Allen served in the US Navy Submarine Service from Nov 1961 to Nov 1967.  Allen worked with the US Navy Seal teams during the Cold War and Vietnam.  He was awarded the Bronze Star for service ending  Nov 16, 1966. He achieved the rank of EM1 SS (E-6) prior to his honorable discharge.

Allen is survived by his wife Beverly, stepsons Ben Cseri, James Beau Cseri and wife Sasha with son Cole, son Chuck Simmons and wife Amy, daughter Carley, sister Carolyn Milligan and son Kriston.  He is also survived by many friends, one of which is our own Sr Ride Captain, Tom 'TKool' Slaughter, who assisted us with coordinating the mission.
