The family of John Lawrence Acosta has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their Hero for his military service. It will be our honor to do so.

John Acosta served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He enlisted in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1970 at the rank of SP5.

John was awarded the following awards and metals for his service, the Good Conduct Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 18T Oak Leaf Cluster, the Vietnam Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60s Device and 1 Oversea Bar.

We do not have any information about Mr. Acosta's civilian life or survivors as the family chose not to supply any additional info.

We are sure he will be sorely missed by all his family and friends and never forgotten.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying our hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place, approx .3 miles.  Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.
