Laurance Bradford Way, 76, USA, Vietnam, Santee/MNC - 3 MAY
« on: April 28, 2022, 03:39:41 PM »
The family of Laurance Bradford Way has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Laurance (Larry) was born on 29 August 1945 and entered into Eternal Rest on 27 March 27 2022.

Larry served in the US Army from 21 September 1965 to 30 August 1968 in the Army Combat Engineers during the Vietnam War.  After his honorable discharge from the Army, he served 25 years National Guard service.  Larry was Honorably Discharged as an SP4.

Larry was a retired 35-year employee from the City of San Diego.  He enjoyed painting and drawing and he loved going to the movies and watching old westerns and sci-fi shows on TV. He loved people and telling stories of his experieinces throughout his life (some that seemed far fetched) to whom ever would listen.  He loved food, especially his Jack 'n the Box chocolate shakes. He loved to laugh and when he laughed it was contagious.  Larry would blame many a bodily sound on barking spiders.  He was always available to talk and offered his time and his wisdom.

Larry is survived by his wife Laura Way, daughter Lori Way, his "other" daughter Donna Wooten along with his step-children Joanna and Manuel and 4 step-grandchildren and his dog Diva. He was also the dad to many a wayward soul who made their way into his home for safety, shelter and sustenance.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
