Part 2 of 2 Parts

The family of SF1c Charles Fred Perdue, age 32, and the US Navy have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be there to honor him as he is finally interred on his home soil after 80 years since he was Killed In Action.  We are honored to be there.

SF1c Charles Perdue was serving aboard the USS Oklahoma as a Ship Fitter First Class on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor when the ship was bombed by the Japanese, the ship capsized and 429 Sailors were killed on board, one of them was Charles Perdue.

Charles was from So California and was a husband and father when he enlisted in the US Navy in 1938 in support of World War II, he was proud to be helping to defend our country.  He had been missing in action for over 80 years until he was recently identified through DNA and can now be returned to his family.

Charles was a loving husband and father at the time of his death, his family has dearly missed him all these years and will now have some closure in having him back and buried in his home state.
