The family of Lester N Wright has requested the PGR’s attendance at his military honors.  We are honored to accept.

Lester served in the USAF from April 1953 through April 1957, then continued in the Reserves until April 1961.  He volunteered and served in the Korean War receiving the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

After he left active duty he attended the Northrup Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1960.   He then worked for North American Aviation which became Rockwell International during the early space programs.

After he retired he enjoyed computers, taking long drives and growing orchids and plumeria.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joanne, his two daughters Lori (Jim) Blankenship and Juli (Ron) Gallego, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He also leaves behind his brother Don (Doris) Wright and Sister-in-law Marilyn Falconer.
