The family of Stephen Glen Williams has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany Stephen as he makes the journey to his final resting place. It is our honor to do so.
Stephen was born 05 Aug 1951 and passed away 09 Feb 2021 while sleeping at home. He proudly served our nation from 1969 to 1973 in the United States Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged. Stephen served in Vietnam and was the only survivor of his platoon.
After his military service, Stephen settled in San Bernardino with his wife and children after living in Covina and Pomona. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years until he became disabled. He enjoyed babysitting his nephew "KayKay," who affectionately gave him the nickname, “Old Man.” While caring for his nephew, he was also caring for his wife who had become disabled as well. Stephen enjoyed shooting the breeze with anyone who’d listen to his stories while having his favorite drink of choice with a cigarette. He loved Harley’s and his head would swivel 360 to see one coming down the road. Aside from loving Harley’s he had a deep fascination with eagles and anything related to them. He had an infectious laugh that will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, David. He is survived by his wife, Frances Winslow-Williams, his stepson Donny Williams and his wife, Crystal. He is also survived by three brother-in-law’s, three sister-in-law’s, five nephews, five nieces, and one great-nephew.

For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
