The family of Ruben Yepez Sanchez (Age 82) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Ruben Yepez Sanchez was in the U.S. Army from September,1961 to September, 1963. Ruben was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne out of Ft. Bragg, NC, and served in Vietnam. He achieved the rank of Private First Class prior to his honorable discharge.  Ruben was always proud of his military service and was a big supporter of other Veterans, he was a long time member of the American Legion, Post 30 in Pomona, CA.

Ruben was a retired electrician for the same company for 47 years - Composite Structures, known for manufacturing helicopter blades including the AH-64 “Apache” and Bell “Huey” UH-1 used in Nam. Loved deep sea and freshwater fishing at truly loved camping and fishing the June Lake loop, especially Grant lake.

Ruben was single (never married, no children) but had many admirers. Ruben was the eldest of 9 children. He had six sisters: Marianne, Ophelia, Virginia, Yvonne, Lucille and Alicia and two brothers: Benjamin (deceased) and Daniel. Many nephews and Nieces.

Ruben loved being surrounded by family and friends and very outgoing and friendly. He was always willing to help those in need and was close to his Catholic faith including attending daily mass and praying the rosary.
