The family of Kenneth Shanefield has invited the PGR to be present to honor their hero as he is laid to rest. We are honored to be there.

Kenneth served in the Army from 11/1954 to 11/1956. He was a clerk typist and also played the Trumpet in the band. He was honorably discharged at the rank of PV2.

In civilian life Kenneth worked as a purchasing agent. His hobbies and interests included Ham Radio operation, fast cars and street racing and riding motorcycles was a true passion. He rode from age 15 to age 78 and stopped only because his son demanded it. Evidently he was forgetting to put his feet down at a stop and was falling over (or, as his son says, was distracted by a pretty lady and lost focus)

Our hero is survived by his son Al,  daughter Bonnie, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.

NOTE: Please observe the latest COVID-19. Face coverings are required.
