The family of Janice Lorselle Andrews Beamon has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for her accompaniment from Fontana to RNC and for her military honors at RNC. We are honored to do so.
Janice joined the United States Air Force on May 20, 1985, and was Honorably Discharged on December 22, 1988. She had achieved the rank of E-4, Staff Sergeant. While serving, she was a nurse and had a specialty in Pharmacology. She had been stationed at Sawyer AFB in Michigan, Clark AFB in the Philippines and Travis AFB in California. During her service, she was exposed to toxins that cause breathing difficulties, that sadly played a role in her passing at such a young age.
After her Military Service, she was unable to work, due to her disability. Her hobbies included real estate, crafting and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by her Husband Michael Beamon, brother Kenneth Murray, daughter Lia Andrews, bonus children Tanesha Beamon-Jackson and Michael Beamon Jr., grandchildren Tiana Payne, Dayvion Andrews, Jacksen Andrews and Tavion Givens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Davis and John Murray, brother Maurice Murray and son Leslie Andrews III.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested and all PGR members are welcome to attend. We will be accompanying this Hero from the funeral home to RNC, approximately 31 miles. Please see the timetable for your participation. If you would prefer to meet at the Cemetery, please feel free to do so.
You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there, by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
"The weather is predicted to be hot please stay hydrated and don't forget to eat, it can make a difference with your ability to withstand the heat."
