The family of George Burton Thomas, (73), USN, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their loved one at his services. We are honored to accept this invitation.  We will accompany our Hero and his loved ones from their family church in Glendora to the RIverside National Cemetery for military honors.

MM2 Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 19 June, 1959 to 6 March, 1967.  During his service he was deployed to Vietnam and other billets where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device (1960), the US Navy Nuclear Power Scolds 1962-63 and the National Defense Service Medal.

After George separated service, he made a career in the local insurance industry until he retired.  George and his wife Jeanne loved to travel the across the United States, usually in their motor home and eventually during their travels, they toured all 50 States including Hawaii. He is survived by his wife Jeanne, five children, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
