The family of Travis Wayne Zmotony, 44, have requested the Patriot Guard accompany their hero to his final resting place at Riverside National Cemetery.  It will be our honor and privilege to honor their wishes.

Travis served in the United States Navy from August 1999 to December 2005 as an AD2, Aviation Machinist Mate, and was honorably discharged at the rank of E5.  He was awarded multiple ribbons and medals, the GWOT Service Medal, Expeditionary Service Medal for Iraq and the Global Was Post 9/11 to name a few.  His last duty command was with the Strike Fighter Squadron 137.

After his service Travis, was employed by Riverside County as a Correctional Officer and Senior Probation Officer for 17 years.  Travis was one of the thousands of disabled veterans that suffered from PTSD and depression.

He enjoyed spending time with his son and his family.  He loved traveling, fishing, and shooting.  Travis was also a history buff and loved visiting the various naval ships he served on.

Travis is survived by his ex-wife Pam, his son, Liam, and three sisters, Randi, Tassie, and Christy.
