The family of Billy “Trunk” Young has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Billy joined the United States Navy in 2003 and served honorably until his passing this year 2025.  Billy was very proud to have made the rank of Chief; however, unfortunately he succumbed to a battle with cancer at the age of 48.  During his military service he had many accomplishments.  He was also  known for his deep faith.  He studied Theology and made it clear to everyone he knew that he had a deep relationship with God.  He was also a professional marksman, competitive shooter, as well as instructor.

Billy was devoted to his family and his wife, Kaila, who stood by his side through everything.  They had four children together, two boys and two girls, who will miss him deeply.  He will also be missed by his mother and multiple friends and shipmates.

NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum.  Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
