Brian Lee Duran, 44, USA/GWOT - Moreno Valley/RNC - 14 Nov

(1/1)

Lilygirl54:
The family of Brian Lee Duran, 44, have requested the Patriot Guard to accompany their hero to his final resting place.  It will be our honor to do so.

Brian joined the Army and proudly served from May 2004 to December 2005 as an infantryman.  During his short military career, he earned the Parachutist Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and GWOT Service Medal.  Brian was 100% disabled at the time of his discharge.

After his service Brian, enjoyed helping other veterans as a Medical Support Assistant.  Brian also was going to school studying Microsoft Excel programs.  He enjoyed going the beaches, Huntington Beach and Santa Monica Beach, with friends.  He also enjoyed going to church and reading as well as gardening.  He would sometimes just go out for a drive and found that relaxing.

Brian is survived by his wife, Monica, and their two children, Rebeka and Amaris.  He will also be missed by his mother, Monica, and three siblings, Christina, David, and Valerie.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the cemetery, approximately 6 miles.  Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.  For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
