The family of Arthur M. Vejar has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this Hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Art served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1969.   He was a tank instructor at what is now MCAS Miramar.  By the time he left the Marines he had attained the rank of E-4.

In civilian life Art worked for Rohr and BF Goodrich.   He was musician and played in many bands.

Art is survived by his brother Richard, sons Greg, John and Frank, daughter Caroline, 9 grand-kids, 1 great-granddaughter.

The family has asked for an accompaniment from the church service in Jamul to Art's final resting place at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, a distance of approximately 16 miles.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  Everyone is welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).
