The family of GySgt Gregory J. Mullins, 31, of Bayou L'Ourse, LA has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their fallen Hero.
 
GySgt Mullins was one of four Marines killed while on duty at Camp Pendleton on Wednesday, 13 NOV 13.
 
Gunnery Sgt. Gregory J. Mullins, 31, of Bayou L'Ourse, La., was the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Staff Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton. He joined the Marine Corps in March 2002, and was promoted to his current rank in February 2013. Mullins' awards include two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Combat Action Ribbon, three Marine Corps Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and NATO Medal-ISAF Afghanistan. He deployed twice to Afghanistan in 2011 and 2012 as a team leader.
 
Gy/Sgt Mullins grew up in a small town in Louisiana, so small there is only one grocery store in town, much of his family still lives there.  He is remembered as kind, generous, responsible and heroic, he was the small town Hero.  His small town, Bayou L'Ourse, Louisiana, is in shock and mourns his passing.
 
Gy/Sgt Mullins is survived by his wife and his three small children, and many other family members and friends.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

Each motorcycle rider should have registration, proof of insurance. You should also wear hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet. A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended.  Have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
