The family of Kent R. Jones, 70, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Service and Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Kent proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served from June 15, 1966 to June 14, 1968 as an Infantryman. He was honorably discharged as a Private at the end of his service.

After the service, he worked for many years for McDonnell-Douglas. He later would go to work at the Naval Shipyard as a Rigger. He truly loved the work that he did.  Kent love riding his motorcycle and also loved classic cars in which he owned several, went to many car shows and belonged to several car clubs over the years. As you can see, he was full of life and enjoyed every bit of it.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kent is survived by his wife Sally, 2 daughters, Kellie & Melissa, 2 step children, James & Carolyn and has 9 grandchildren.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
