The family of Robert Salgado Mendoza has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Robert Mendoza 94, served proudly in the US Army from 1943 - 1946.  A member of our “Greatest Generation” Robert served in England and France during WWII.  Robert was a demolition technician.  He would make and use explosives and detect and diffuse anti-tank mines.  He was also involved in the re-construction of the devastation caused by war in England and France.  A true American Hero along with all of those who served in WWII.

In his post-war career Robert worked for General Dynamics for 47 years where he was involved in the production of various aircraft for our military including the North American XB-70 Valkyrie, which was a nuclear-armed, deep-penetration strategic bomber for the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command.

Robert is survived by his Sister; Irene, Brother; Macario, Daughters; Roberta Cornelsen, Stella Hinkley, Sons; Matt Mendoza, Marcus Mendoza, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.
