The family of Technical Sergeant Gerald William Jackson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

TSGT Jerry Jackson, 83, proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years (1952 to 1972), time that included duty in the Korean and Vietnam wars. For his service he was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/ 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Longevity Service Award w/ 3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/ 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters.  At the time of his retirement from the Air Force he had attained the rank of Technical Sergeant (E-6).

In his post-military life Jerry worked for and retired from SAIT where he was a control manager. He enjoyed his hobby of completing crossword puzzles in ink.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 38 years Sheila Jackson, 1 step-daughter, 2 grandsons, and his 2 great-grandsons.  He is also survived by 4 children, 3 grand children 4 great-grandchildren from his first marriage.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the family home to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
