The family of CMSgt Adrian Anthony Martinez, Sr. has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to honor this American Hero; it will be our honor to do so.

Adrian “Chief” Martinez was born on 10 December 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri and entered Eternal Rest on 10 June 2018 in Loma Linda.

After graduating from Chaffey High School, Adrian began his proud career serving his country for twenty-seven years from 1975 to 2003 in the U.S. Air Force. His assignments included Chanute AFB, IL., Luke AFB, AZ, and many others.  Adrian  received awards/citations that included the Air Force Achievement Medal, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with 2 oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters,  Air Force Longevity Service Award with 1 silver oak leaf cluster, National Defense Service Medal with 1 bronze star, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon with 1 oak leaf cluster, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 2 oak leaf clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Meal with 1 silver and 2 oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with 1 silver and 1 oak leaf clusters, and Maintenance Master Occupational Badge. While serving in the Air Force, Adrian’s specialties included Jet Engine Mechanic, Aerospace Propulsion Craftsman, Aerospace Propulsion Superintendent, and Systems Chief Enlisted Manager. Adrian honorably retired at Edwards AFB as a Chief Master Sergeant (E-9).

After his retirement Adrian went to work at Edwards Air Force Base as a Civil Service Project Manager for fifteen years.

Adrian is survived by his wife Gloria, four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from Draper Mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

The weather is predicted to be hot so please stay hydrated and don't forget to eat; it can make a difference with your ability to withstand the heat.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
