NOTICE: PLEASE NOTE TIME TABLE CHANGE!!

The family of Lloyd Kay Gasway has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Lloyd was born on 11 June 1932 and enter into Eternal Rest on 15 February 2019 in Loma Linda.

Lloyd lost his father at an early age. His mother remarried and was raised by his step-father William Gasway.

In 1952 at the age of eighteen, Lloyd joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Long Beach where he would meet his wife Nancy. Lloyd would ship out three months later where he served during the Korean War aboard the USS De Haven (DD727). Lloyd was in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956 and was honorably discharged as a MM1 (Machinist Mate First Class).

After the military Lloyd worked for the Garden Grove Police Department from 1959 to 1972. He worked as a Motor Officer, which began his love of Harleys and eventually became a Detective.  In 1972 he started working for Wells Fargo Bank in Loss Investigations working his way to VP/Chief Special Agent.

After his retirement, Lloyd spent the next twenty years being with his family. He enjoyed his pool, grandchildren and his dogs. In his younger years he also enjoyed fishing.

Lloyd enjoyed reminiscing about his time in the Navy, was a member of the Ships Association, attended a couple of Ship Reunions and still remained in contact with shipmates.

Lloyd is survived by his children Robert, Marc, Michael, Lisa and Tracy. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Lloyd is preceded in death by Nancy, his wife of sixty-three years.
