The family of Paul Tilford White and Risher Mortuary have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders and pay our respects in honoring this American hero on his journey to his final resting place. We will be honored to do so.
Paul was born on September 15, 1931 in Dexterville, Kentucky. Paul was an extraordinary man in that he only went to conventional school thru the 8th grade and later on finished high school courses on his own with testing from outside sources. Something that wasn't heard about to much in that time. He also learned how to skipper boats at a young age and that made it an easy for choice for him to join the Navy.
On September 22, 1950. Paul enlisted in the United States Navy three days before his 20th birthday. He served with the Navy for four years and was honorably discharged on September 20, 1954. He earned the National Defense Service Medal. He was very proud to have served in the Navy.
The Navy offered Paul a chance to stay in and gave him a shot at becoming Chief Boatswain’s Mate if he chose to but Paul had other plans. He had already taken the testing for Boatswain’s Mate Second Class but chose to go out into the business world.
After Paul’s separation from the Navy, he went to work for a company called Western Electric Phone Company. Paul was employed as their accountant for the next 35 years. The company later became known as AT&T.
Paul is now reunited with his beloved wife, Eleanor, and leaves behind his loving daughter, Jennifer De La Torre, her husband, Washington, and four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
NOTE: we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral home to the cemetery, approximately four miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
