The family and Serenity Funeral & Cremation have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to pay our respects in honoring this American Hero, and accompanying our Hero to his final resting place. It will be our honor to do so.
Alfred was born 5 April 1944. Alfred joined the United States Army on 25 June 1969. Alfred was active duty for only 11 months then was transferred over to Active Reserves due to a family hardship. His MOS was 54C2LAE. He was classified as a Smoke Generator Specialist. He was in charge of running the generators that would provide tactical concealment during troop movement. This unit was disbanded in the 1980's.
Alfred’s time in the Army ended on 24 June 1975. He received his Honorable Discharge as a Spec 4 Tec. His awards consisted of National Defense Service Medal, Expert qualification with M-14
Once Alfred became a civilian, he started driving buses, then promoted up to Vehicle Operations Manager. Once he retired, he then started riding motorcycles which he thoroughly loved.
NOTE: We will be accompanying this military veteran and his family from the church to the cemetery, approximately 52 miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.
