The Patriot Guard has been invited by Dawgs on Hawgs founder, and PGR member, Jon Hemp to attend a memorial at the War Dog Memorial at Camp Pendleton.

This will be an event to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of the monument on Camp Pendleton to memorialize War Dogs and their handlers.  There are Gold Star families, including Tammy Ashley and her son's partner K-9 Sirius, who we welcomed home recently, who will be present and there will be a reading of the names.

After the ceremonies there will be a ALL SERVICES FEED (BBQ) at the Provost Marshall/1st Marine Expeditionary Forces Kennel, all attendees are welcome.

This will begin offsite at Del Taco parking lot in Oceanside and the PGR, ALR and other riders will ride together with Jon and his group to the event, cages are welcome.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in this event. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying a group of attendees from an offsite location to the ceremony. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

Each motorcycle rider should have registration, proof of insurance. You should also wear hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet. A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended.  Have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
