The family of Dean Carl Cary has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Dean proudly served in WWII from 1943-1945 – Operations NCO 814, Northern France Ardennes Rhineland – Central Europe.  He was awarded the American Theater Ribbon,  EAME Theater Ribbon W/4 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Ribbon, Bronze Star Victory Medal.  He also served in Korea with HQ 8th Army (g-3) from 1950-1951.  He was awarded the Korea Service Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, Commendation Ribbon w/Met Pen, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation.

Dean enjoyed golf, friends and spending time with family.  He is survived by his Spouse; Sharon Cary, three children; Bart Cary, DeAnn Cary and a son preceded him in death, Dean Cary Jr, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to MiramarNational Cemetery.  Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
