The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of PV 1 James Joseph Tapia in their loved ones final military honors.  It would be an honor to do so.

James was in the Army from 07/27/2010 to 10/17/2011.  James served oversees in Afghanistan.  He aided in Afghanistan moving the body of their Sergeant after a fire fight.  He was awarded  the Purple Heart, CIB, Afghanistan Campaign medal with Campaign Star, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal and Army Service ribbon.

James cause of death was service related PTSD.  He had struggled since returning home from Afghanistan.

James is survived by his wife Ashley , 2 young daughters, his father James, his mother Vanessa and brother Vincent.

Note:  This mission posting if to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran.  For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place.  Please see timetable below if you'd like to participate.  For those of you who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1415-KSU to assigned shelter for flag line and service with full military honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  Everyone is welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission, go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
