The family of SPC Jeremy Sornson and PGR Ride Captain Jim Frost, family friend, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend military honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.  It is our honor to do so.

Jeremy was born 15 April 1989 at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California and passed away on 24 October 2019. Jeremy attended Alta Loma High School and enlisted in the US Army soon after receiving his GED.

Jeremy served from April 2008 to September 2015 as an Infantryman (11 Bravo) with Charlie Company 2-28th Infantry Battalion, 172nd Infantry Brigade.  He deployed to Iraq with the 2-28th December 2008 through December 2009 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Jeremy also was stationed at Ft. Irwin, Ft. Bliss, Texas and Camp Casey South Korea. Jeremy received an Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Stars,  Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Two Good Conduct Medals, Two Army Achievement Medals,  National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal.  Jeremy also received an Army Service Ribbon, Two Overseas Service Ribbons, Driver and Mechanic Badge. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist (E-4).

After discharge Jeremy returned home to his family in Rancho Cucamonga.  December 31, 2010 he married Alexandra and they had 2 daughters together.  While working full time he also attended Universal Technical Institute to make a better life for himself and his family.  Upon graduation he worked as a smog tech, he also worked as an Inspector Coordinator for ION Electric.  He returned to UTI and completed a welding course.  He then worked as a welder for Waste Management.  He then returned to ION Electric as an Inspection Coordinator, a job he really loved.

Jeremy is survived  by his two daughters, Sophia and Brianna, Sister Amanda Castaneda, Parents Tina and Robert Hargett, Grandparents Arturo and Mary Arellano, and the mother of his children Alexandra Sornson.

Jeremy was loved by many and was known as a generous and patriotic man.  Jeremy was an organ donor as well.
We honor Jeremy for his service to our country and ask that you honor his life by keeping his memory alive.
