The family of CMSgt Thomas Patrick Tschida has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their Hero’s Celebration of Life in Helendale, CA. We are honored to fulfill this request.

Thomas served in the USAF a total of 35 years (7 active and 28 reserves) in aircraft maintenance, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, E-9. Following his retirement in 2011 he worked as a manager of the test flight center at Edwards AFB where he again retired. While serving, our hero was awarded: The Air Force Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, Outstanding Unit Award and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Thomas was very active in retirement. As an avid golfer he served as president of the Silver Lakes Golf Club for several years. He enjoyed singing Karaoke and was a member of the Silver Lakes Entertainers. He belonged to the F.U.N. MC and loved riding his motorcycle. He also volunteered with his wife delivering for Meals on Wheels.

Thomas is survived by his wife Susan, son Ted, a grandson due to be born in May. He also leaves behind three stepsons, Yulin, Nicholas and Christopher.

For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying our hero and his family from the family home to the location of his services.
