The PGR has been invited to participate in a very exciting event to benefit a Wounded Warrior, SSgt Shaun Meadows.

The Run For The Wall (RFTW) organization has raised money to present a brand new motorcycle to SSgt Shaun Meadows to kick off the beginning of the Run 2016.

SSgt Shaun Meadows is a US Air Force Veteran of the Global War On Terror.  He was a Combat Controller, Special Forces attached to the 22nd Special Tactics Squadron. SSgt Meadows lost both legs in 2008 in Afghanistan when he was riding on the back of a Humvee as the rear gunner, loaded with ammo under his seat, the vehicle ran over an IED and exploded under him.

After his injury, he persevered and was fitted with prosthetics and was walking then running only a few months post injury.  Before he was medically retired from the USAF he wanted to jump with his unit one more time, and in June, 2010 became the first Air Force double above the knee amputee on active duty to complete a free fall parachute jump.

SSgt Meadows is being flown by private plane from his home in Tennessee to Ontario, California where the PGR will meet him on arrival and accompany him to the host hotel for RFTW.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero from his arrival to the host hotel for this event. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
