Part 1 of a 3 part Mission.The U.S. Navy and the family of Navy Seal
CPO Charles H. Keating IV have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
We have been invited to meet the incoming aircraft bringing CPO Keating back to San Diego and accompany this hero and family to the mortuary, a distance of approximately 7 miles.
CPO Keating received his advancement to CPO effective retroactively to May 3.
There will be tags for this mission.NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the aircraft arrival location to the funeral home. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes
before leaving.
Each motorcycle rider should have registration, proof of insurance. You should also wear hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT approved helmet. A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended. Have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.
Due to OPSEC (Operational Security) limitations which involve troop movements and on-base activities, exact details of this mission will be explained at the Mission Briefing only.
NOTE: Due to heightened security for all military funerals, it is very important that you do not share the details of this mission outside of trusted PGR members. Do not discuss these details on other forums, blogs or social media networks. During the mission please report any suspicious activity to the R/C. CPO Charles H Keating IV You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
