The family of Chad Vakili has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Chad served in the US Air Force from Jan/2005 to Jan/2009.  He achieved the rank of Senior Airman, E4.  He was deployed to Iraq and was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon and Gold Border and the Air Force training Ribbon.

In civilian life Chad was an Engineer with Federal Fire Department San Diego.  His hobbies were golf, basket ball and personal training.

Chad is survived by his wife, his sister, his brother and his parents.

There will be tags for this mission.

Note: This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.  For those interested, and all are welcome, please see the time table if you would like to participate.  For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery we will meet you there.

1330 – Estimated Arrival at Miramar NC
1400 – Flag Line, Funeral Service with Full Military Honors

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
