Part 2 of 2 Parts

The PGR has been invited by the Romero family, and the US Coast Guard family to honor their Hero, and fellow Coastie ET3 Kurt Kenneth Romero, 31, we would be honored to do so.

Kurt was born on Dec. 2, 1984 and passed from this life into next on May 2, 2016. He was 31 yrs. old. Kurt was preceded in death by his father.

Kurt was still on active duty in the United States Coast Guard when he passed. Kurt had attained the rank of Electronic Technician Third Class. (E4). Kurt was stationed up in Northern California in Humboldt County. He and his 10 man crew were in charge of housing for the other Coasties when on deployment. The rest of Kurt's team will be flown down for his funeral on a Coast Guard transport.

Kurt leaves behind his mother, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. The family was very moved at the Patriot Guards attendance at the arrival at LAX, and could not say enough about what a great thing it is that we do. They are very excited about seeing us again on Saturday.

Kurt's Mom just kept saying he would have loved this very much. We will do our very best to make a terrible day for the family a little bit better.

Note: This is an active duty death there will be dog tags
