The Patriot Guard Riders are honored to be invited by the family of Police Officer II Lynnarowe “Lynn” Vy and the Los Angeles Police Department to participate in their loved one’s funeral services.

Officer Vy was born 03 December 1983 in Charleston, South Carolina.  He was appointed to the Los Angeles Police Department on 05 August 2019.

Officer Vy was most recently assigned to the Central Area.  He proudly served the Los Angeles Police Department, dedicating his life to protecting others and answering the call whenever his community and fellow officers were in need.

Sadly, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, Lynn passed away following an illness.  Lynn will be remembered for his contagious smile, genuine kindness, and the positive light he brought to those around him.

Officer Vy is survived by his life partner, Joan; his parents, Steve and Phoeum; and his siblings, Donna, David, Veasna, Panha, and Sergeant I Kevin Vy, who is assigned to Southwest Division.

Blessed are the Peacemakers

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes.  No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service.  Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum.  Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.  Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground.  Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
